I would like to submit a challenge to the youth these days. I challenge all to limit, if not erradicate, the use of the words (fillers) "like", "uh" and "um". I realize that uh and um are not actual words but I feel as if they are being used as such in todays vocabulary. My father once challenged me to take note of how many times I used "like" in a conversation. It has made me very aware of how I speak. Sadly to say that I have thought of this recently because I watched the Teen Miss USA out of sheer curiosity. Painful!
